Public Invited to Dine and Savor Panoramic Evenings in Club Setting, Now Managed by The Breakers Palm Beach
WEST PALM BEACH, FL, November 4, 2008 – Within the spectacular Phillips Point Club that has just opened, a new restaurant, Top of The Point, has emerged as its crowning centerpiece. Located atop the Phillips Point East Tower in downtown West Palm Beach, this penthouse-style dining experience features fabulous food, highly attentive service and stunning views. The restaurant is now under the direction of The Breakers resort and has introduced evening access to the public, which had previously not been available.
Bestowed with the location’s incredible, 180-degree vistas of the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean and the island of Palm Beach, Top of The Point has the appeal and comfort of one’s longtime favorite restaurant in a stylish, exciting atmosphere. The resort’s management team has expertly trained and selected a professional and cheerful staff that caters to each and every guest, while the classic American menu is as savory as it is familiar… from delectable steaks and succulent seafood, to home-made soups and timeless salads with a delightful spin by the kitchen.
At night, Top of The Point is open to the public, who are invited to experience magical sunsets over cocktails and dinner – a unique opportunity to enjoy this breathtaking setting for this otherwise private access Club. It is the ideal place to relax at the bar and enjoy specialty cocktails and unique appetizers, or after-dinner drinks and desserts, Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00pm – 10:00pm and Friday and Saturday till 11:00pm; or dine at the restaurant Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and Friday and Saturday till 10:00pm. Top of The Point also represents an expansion of The Breakers’ assortment of distinct restaurant concepts – from exceptional French, Italian and Asian cuisine, to fresh seafood and mouth-watering steaks, all under the direction of the Resort’s vice president of food & beverage, Kevin Walters. This new venture also continues the resort’s carefully moderated growth of its expertise off site, following the highly acclaimed Asian restaurant, Echo, in Palm Beach; the world-class catering subsidiary Special Impressions (based at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts) and Breakers West Country Club, both in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Since taking over the lease and operations of the Club and restaurant in June 2008, The Breakers has made a one million dollar investment in the transformation of this facility, which previously housed the former Governors Club at Phillips Point. In the process, the resort has also created 50 new jobs in association with the new restaurant and Club, a timely contribution to the local community.
