Coming to The Breakers has been a tremendous experience. It has allowed me to mature and develop at a fast pace in my chosen career. Although the program lasts for just 18 months, I have achieved so much in a short space of time. From having worked at the Front Desk and becoming departmental trainer, working on the Recycling work team, and becoming a Housekeeping Coordinator, it has been a huge learning experience. Although I am leaving The Breakers at the end of my 18 months, it has opened so many doors, to progress to the next level of my career. I have worked with so many talented people, and I have learnt so much from them. Also being in the United States has been a great experience, learning a new culture and way of life. The Breakers is very diligent in getting the required visas for new International Associates. My advice to all new candidates - having The Breakers on your resume will open many doors for your next step in your hospitality career!

Starting at The Breakers in September 2003 was the best decision I could ever make. I started as a Restaurant and Activity Reservationist, which gave me a lot of opportunities. I became trainer for new hires; as well I was responsible for scheduling, executive summaries and problem solving. After nine months I got promoted to my current position Bell Services Supervisor. The Breakers takes really good care of its employees as they strive for providing the best service to its guests with the help of the six service standards; smile, greet, using the guest name, offering further assistance, eye contact and care & cleanliness. In my eyes, The Breakers is the number one place to work for as well as to stay at!
