Resort Profile: A luxury oceanfront hotel and one of America’s legendary resort destinations. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the resort has invested $250 million over the past decade in its ongoing revitalization and expansion. With the commitment of its original ownership, capital expenditures averaging $20 million a year are reinvested in The Breakers for the long term, to ensure the resort remains appealing to future generations. Location: Situated on 140 acres on the island of Palm Beach, Florida. Located seven miles from Palm Beach International Airport, 42 miles from Ft. Lauderdale International Airport and 72 miles from Miami International Airport. Both Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike provide easy access to South County Road (via Okeechobee Boulevard), which leads to the entrance of The Breakers.
Climate: Due to its close proximity to the Gulfstream, Palm Beach enjoys a sub-tropical climate noted for year-round breezes and moderate temperatures ranging from 75-85 degrees.
Architecture/Design: Created in the Italian Renaissance-style, inspired by the magnificent Italian villas of the 1400s. Exterior: Twin Belvedere towers with graceful arches, patterned after the Villa Medici in Rome. Front drive: Re-designed and landscaped 1,040-foot main drive leads to Florentine Fountain patterned after the fountain at the Boboli Gardens in Florence. Main lobby: Inspired by the Great Hall of the Palazzo Carega (circa 1560) in Genoa.
Amenities: Two 18-hole championship golf courses, a 20,000-square-foot oceanfront spa with ocean view fitness center, Mediterranean-style beach club overlooking one-half mile of private beach, five swimming pools, luxury beach bungalows, variety of water sports, 10 lighted tennis courts and an extensive program of family and children's activities. Also features an outstanding selection of nine restaurants and an array of on-site boutiques with distinctive merchandise.
History: The Palm Beach Inn, originally constructed in 1896 by Henry Morrison Flagler, was destroyed by fire in 1903. Rebuilt in 1904 as The Breakers and again taken by fire in 1925. The Breakers, as it is known today, re-opened its doors December 29, 1926, rebuilt in a record breaking 11½ months at a cost of $7 million.
Accommodations: 540 guestrooms, including 68 suites – two Imperial Suites, including the Imperial Designer Suite by Badgely Mischka, and four Royal Poinciana Suites. Rooms feature ocean or resort view; king or two double beds available. Rollaways and cribs at no additional charge. Standard amenities include bathrobes and slippers, The Breakers private-label toiletries, private electronic safe, make-up mirrors, hair dryers, desks, mini-bars, dual-line telephones with voicemail and data ports, wireless and high-speed internet access, flat screen TV, radio alarm clock with iPod docking station, in-room movies, wireless keyboard and Playstation® videogames.
The Flagler Club, a private intimate residence comprised of restricted access rooms on the sixth and seventh floors of the hotel. Offers exclusive concierge service and enhanced amenities including distinctive continental breakfast, fresh-baked cookies, afternoon tea, evening hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, desserts and after-dinner cordials.
Guest Services: Concierge services, laundry, valet parking and transportation, a “24/7 Business Center,” safe deposit boxes, babysitting, complimentary shuttle service to The Flagler Steakhouse, The Breakers Rees Jones® Course, and Echo and Top of The Point – the resort’s two off-site restaurants. The Circle: A magnificent room with an intricate, hand-painted ceiling complemented by splendid ocean views. Open daily for breakfast and The Breakers renowned Sunday Brunch. Dress: casual and sportswear; resortwear for Sunday Brunch.
The Beach Club Restaurant: A stylishly, relaxed setting for informal, al fresco or indoor dining and drinks, this restaurant overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and welcomes guests with an aura of casual sophistication and a contemporary seaside-hued décor. Serving à la carte and buffet breakfast and a lunch menu featuring a delicious variety of seasonal soups, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and lighter fare utilizing the freshest, highest quality ingredients available. A complement of fresh fruit juices and specialty waters is also available. Open daily, casualwear is the customary attire.
The Flagler Steakhouse: Located in the resort’s old Florida-style clubhouse. Sporty Palm Beach ambiance indoors or terrace seating with expansive views of the golf course. Features the finest USDA prime-grade meats, seafood specialties available. Open daily for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. Dress: casual and resortwear.
The Seafood Bar: Oceanfront restaurant, with its signature aquarium bars, features the finest quality fresh fish, seafood and raw bar. Open daily for lunch, dinner, and special late night menu; bar open until 2:00 a.m. Dress: casual and sportswear.
The Italian Restaurant: For casual, home-style Italian fare. Features brick-oven pizzas, fresh pastas, grilled specialties and more. While families eat and relax, children can play at the adjacent Family Entertainment Center. Open daily for dinner. Dress: casual and resortwear.
The Ocean Grill: A beachside bar and grill with views of the pool, beach and panoramic 10th green of The Ocean Golf Course. Offers casual cuisine and refreshments in a setting reminiscent of a seaside cottage. Open daily for lunch. Dress: casualwear; bathing suit cover-ups requested.
Echo: Located just a few blocks from the main hotel in the heart of Palm Beach. Spectacular Asian cuisine, showcased in a sleek and stylish setting, explores the distinctive flavors of China, Thailand, Japan and Vietnam. Open for dinner and features a happy hour. Dress: resortwear.
Top of The Point: Located atop the Phillips Point Club building on Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach. Penthouse-style dining experience featuring modern American cuisine with global influences, and stunning vistas of the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean and Palm Beach. Open for dinner only. HMF: Opened November 2012 - In collaboration with famed hospitality designer, Adam Tihany, The Breakers introduced an exciting new drinking and dining experience unlike any other in Palm Beach. The name HMF, honors The Breakers’ legendary founder, Henry Morrison Flagler. Designed to enchant its guests, the completely re-imagined space is an ode to the classic "Palm Beach cocktail culture," offering a lively, glamorous, unique experience.
This incredible bar concept features an extensive menu of sensational food, combining an innovative take on sharing plates representing multiple cuisines, with handcrafted cocktails ranging from the vintage to the experimental, and a carefully curated wine list – all designed to surprise and delight the senses.
In-Room Dining: Available 24 hours. Serving a complete menu of breakfast, lunch, dinner and light snacks in the privacy of the guest’s room.

The Breakers Ocean Course: Florida’s oldest 18-hole course located on site at The Breakers, a 6,100-yard, par 70 course redesigned by Brian Silva in 2000. Beautifully landscaped with manicured greens, a constant test for all skill levels.
The Breakers Rees Jones® Course: Recently reconstructed by renowned golf course architect, Rees Jones, and named “Renovation of the Year,” by Golf Inc. Lushly landscaped and challenging course designed in Jones’ award-winning neo-classic style, set against the backdrop of the picturesque Breakers West residential community.
John Webster Golf Academy at The Breakers: Nationally recognized golf professionals offer instruction in private lessons and golf school format, geared to all skill levels; lessons also specialized for children. Custom club fitting also available.
Tennis: Award-winning tennis facility offers guests 10 beautifully groomed Har-Tru courts, a comprehensive pro shop with the latest fashions and equipment, professional instruction, clinics and private court time. Lighted courts available for evening play.
The Spa at The Breakers: Mediterranean-style, 20,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor spa. Services reflect the serenity and sensory components of the spa’s oceanfront location.
Amenities include a private oceanfront sanctuary for outdoor treatments, lap pool, oceanfront whirlpool spa, 17 private treatment rooms for a variety of massages, body wraps, scrubs, and Guerlain and Tammy Fender skin care treatments and ladies' and men's locker rooms with steam and sauna.
Fitness:
Oceanview Fitness Center: One of two hotel fitness centers, this 1,400-square-foot facility connects to The Spa. Fourteen-foot high windows provide unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. Features strength equipment, treadmills, bikes, elliptical runners, free weights, personal training, body composition analysis and take-home exercise programs. TV monitors and headphones throughout. Fitness classes and one-on-one training are scheduled seven days a week, including yoga, aqua-aerobics and Pilates, and more. A complimentary Fitness Center is also located in the main hotel and fully equipped with cardiovascular, weight training and strength equipment.
Beach Club: Mediterranean-style Beach Club with magnificent vistas of the ocean and reminiscent of a panoramic island escape.
