Tannat is a grape that is widely planted in the South of France from apellations such as Gascony and Iroulégy. Full bodied with notes of black cherry, blackberry and dark chocolate complementing the long and grippy finish. THE BREAKERS CHARDONNAY, GASCONY 2010 - Made from 100% Chardonnay and aged in 50% new French Oak and 50% aged, The Breakers Chardonnay is aged "sur lie" which adds a freshness and creaminess to the wine. This wine is full bodied with golden delicious apple, pineapple and lemon overtones with a hint of oak on the finish. THE BREAKERS MERLOT, GASCONY 2009 - Made from 85% Merlot and 15% Tannat, this wine remains in keeping with the United States Tax and Trade Bureau regulations of having at least 75% of the grape specified on the label in the bottle.Tannat is a grape that is widely planted in the South of France from appellations such as Gascony and Iroulégy.Tannat adds structure and weight to a wine and is dark and dense. Medium bodied with red cherry, black plum and blueberry notes, this wine is enhanced by a hint of toasty oak on the finish. THE BREAKERS SAUVIGNON BLANC, GASCONY 2010 - Made from 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Semillon, this wine is fermented in stainless steel. Grapefruit, lemon zest and green melon, combined with floral notes, make this wine a perfect summer quencher with its tart and tangy finish.
