PALM BEACH, FL – Re-opened late December 2016, after a full-scale, multimillion dollar renovation, the renowned Seafood Bar at The Breakers Palm Beach has been re-imagined with stunning, bespoke nautical-inspired interiors by renowned hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany, acting as design consultant to Peacock + Lewis Architects.  Long a favorite oceanfront restaurant and bar for travelers and residents alike, the alluring new rendition envelops guests in modern, seaside sophistication, creating the sense of dining and drinking aboard a private luxury yacht, with breathtaking, sweeping views of the Atlantic from all angles.   

The new Seafood Bar continues to elevate its excellent culinary reputation with an incomparable selection of the freshest impeccably prepared seafood, inspiring cocktails and Master Sommelier-selected wines.  It is Palm Beach’s most coveted and spectacular destination for leisurely drinks or dining, day through evening. 

On the heels of four, transformative projects for The Breakers including HMF; Flagler Steakhouse; the Flagler Club, an ultra-luxury boutique hotel atop the resort; and the property’s south oceanfront tower accommodations, celebrated designer Adam D. Tihany re-imagined the iconic Seafood Bar with a refreshing, elegant aesthetic.  The interior’s neutral color palette comes to life with deep blue and yellow accents; design elements include columns that curve up to the barrel-vaulted ceiling, large-caged light fixtures, cherry and maple-striped wood flooring, and wrap-around white wood wall paneling. A glamorous exhibition kitchen serves as a brilliant display of fresh seafood, and the restaurant’s talented culinary team.  

The new bar area features 18 seats at the famed aquarium bar, as well as spacious banquette seating arrangements and high-top communal seating.  Floor to ceiling windows make ocean views the focal point of the bar.  The main dining room seats 110, with the variety of table arrangements including the addition of an aquarium high-top communal table, and a selection of booths with direct views of the exposition kitchen. 

Open daily for lunch and dinner, the Seafood Bar menu showcases an unrivaled selection of the freshest available seafood, featuring a “Day Boat” selection of fish brought in daily; complemented by American classic comfort foods (New England clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl, mac & cheese, banana cream pie), craveworthy sides (truffle gorgonzola fries, zucchini chips), perennial favorites (jumbo lump crab cakes, pecan-crusted grouper), and equally enticing items for those who are not fish enthusiasts (broccoli and kale salad, filet mignon).

The menu of custom-created cocktails includes fruit-infused, herb-infused and organic drinks for sipping that are clean and bright on the palate, and a delicious array of alcohol-free elixirs.  An extensive, Master Sommelier-curated wine list complements the seafood-driven menu, including The Breakers’ largest wine-by-the-glass selection and a special Connoisseurs Reserve menu featuring more age and cult wines only available by the bottle …Burgundy, Bordeaux, Napa Valley cabernet, premium/specialty whites, etc.  Sourced from The Breakers’ 28,000-bottle collection, the Seafood Bar’s wine list provides a perfect complement to every dish, or for guests to savor and sip on its own.
