Devoted to excellence and driven by a deep, authentic love of the game, John Webster, a PGA Class-A professional, leads the multi-faceted, total package golf program at his namesake Academy, located at both of The Breakers’ courses.

Teaching Locations

Ocean Course

Perched on the driving range of our historic Ocean Course, is our state-of-the-art, indoor-outdoor teaching bay. Our professional instructors, innovative digital video equipment, ground force sensors and V1 swing analysis software allow us to capture and analyze your swing on multiple levels.

Beyond your swing, a broad assortment of training aids is on-hand to elevate every aspect of your approach to the game. Looking to focus on your short game? Make use of our private practice facility, replete with an array of chips, pitches and bunker shots. Just beyond, you’ll also find an additional 6,500-square-foot putting green.

The Breakers Rees Jones® Course

A mere 10 miles from The Breakers resort sits the championship Rees Jones Course—picturesque grounds designed in a classic style, complete with a comprehensive teaching academy. Arrive at the course’s indoor-outdoor learning center, set on an expansive, double-sided driving range, and discover how technology can improve your game: two 480-square-foot hitting bays equipped with four digital cameras and V1 swing analysis software allow us to capture a detailed, 360 view of your swing.

In addition, two short-game greens with bunkers lend to a variety of shots and short-game practice. Adjacent to the pitching area, discover another spacious putting green, ideal for large groups and corporate clinics.

Golf Academy

Perseverance, focus, decorum—the fundamentals of the game offer positive, long-lasting lessons for every young golfer. The Junior Golf Academy has been designed to instill an overall appreciation for the game of golf while developing etiquette and foundational skills.

Our director of instruction, John Webster, has successfully implemented golf instruction into hundreds of events, hosting clinics with golfing greats such as Gary Player, Zach Johnson and Hal Sutton.
