Biography
Currently residing as Vice President of Real Estate Assets & Club Administration at The Breakers Palm Beach, David Renna is committed to enhancing the exclusive privileges related to the 140-acre resort’s resident, membership and real estate asset management programs. He is responsible for the operations of the ultra-luxury Breakers Row development, which includes residential units at One North Breakers Row and Two North Breakers Row; The Breakers Ocean Club, a world-class private beach club that features four oceanfront pools, chic poolside bungalows, a championship golf course, tennis courts and more; and Breakers West Country Club, located 15 minutes from the legendary beachfront property. In addition, he also manages Via Flagler by The Breakers, an al fresco plaza that showcases a curated collection of boutiques, eateries and residences.
A New Jersey native, Renna began his career in his late teens working in the food and beverage industry at four- and five-star hotels and restaurants. He joined The Phoenician resort in Scottsdale, AZ in 1996, where he became a sommelier. Building a successful career as a food and beverage executive and passionate wine aficionado, Renna was recruited to Las Vegas in 1998 to create and oversee the wine program for the launch of Renoir, the highly acclaimed restaurant at the Mirage Hotel. He was promoted to general manager and director of wine in 1999 and enjoyed the collaborative accomplishment of earning the coveted Mobil Five-Star rating just six months after opening.
Renna’s career continued when he joined The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix as the director of wine and beverage; he was then employed by the Four Seasons Scottsdale as the director of restaurants, and later, assistant director of food & beverage. The Breakers hired Renna in 2002 as assistant director of food & beverage; two and a half years later, he took on additional responsibilities to oversee the Ocean Club. Promoted in 2010 to director of club operations, and then to Senior Director - Real Estate Assets & Club Administration (2017), Renna has taken the helm of a division that continues to be critical to the success of this iconic, family-owned property.
Renna resides in Palm Beach Gardens with his wife, Suzanne, and their two children. He is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce; he is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Palm Beach Midtown Business Association; and is a member of Chaine des Rotisseurs. He is involved with the United Way of Palm Beach County and Habitat for Humanity, Quantum House.
