Biography

Mark Mantegna is a seasoned hospitality leader with more than 30 years of experience at The Breakers Palm Beach, one of America’s most iconic, family-owned luxury resorts. As Senior Director of Project Management, he oversees the operational planning of large-scale initiatives that support the company's long-term strategic growth. 

Working closely with division heads, Mantegna is responsible for orchestrating capital investment projects, including new business ventures, facility redevelopments, and service enhancements designed to elevate the guest experience. His efforts are integral to The Breakers’ continued evolution as a thriving, independent resort destination.  

Reporting directly to the President, Mantegna brings a multidisciplinary background in world-class hotel operations to his role. He began his career at The Breakers in 1993 as an Activities Leader and advanced to Director of Recreation (2001), Rooms Division Manager (2003), Spa Director (2005), and Director of Quality & Service Improvement (2009).

Appointed to his current position in 2025, Mantegna's career progression reflects The Breakers’ commitment to nurturing talent and aligning individual strengths with organizational needs. Known for his analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and passion for continuous improvement, he has been instrumental in advancing the property's current and future reinvestment priorities. 

Mantegna holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a concentration in Resort and Property Management, from the University of Wisconsin–Stout. Beyond his professional duties, he is dedicated to community service, contributing his time and expertise to United Way of Palm Beach County Allocations Committee, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Food Bank.
