Brief Executive Biography 

Tricia Taylor is President of The Breakers Palm Beach, one of America’s most iconic luxury resorts. In her role, she leads the operations of the 140-acre oceanfront property and its off-site businesses, while guiding a team of more than 2,400 associates. With a strong emphasis on employee well-being and workplace culture, Taylor drives the organization’s people-first approach - an essential pillar of the enduring success of this independent, family-owned enterprise. 

A graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, Taylor began her hospitality career at the legendary Waldorf Astoria in New York before joining The Breakers in 1996. Over the past three decades, she has advanced through the company, culminating in her appointment as president in 2023.

A passionate advocate for learning and professional development, Taylor earned her MBA with honors from Florida Atlantic University and continued her executive education as a Wharton Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tricia Taylor is an accomplished executive with three decades of experience in the luxury hospitality sector. As President of The Breakers Palm Beach—a legendary, 130‑year‑old oceanfront resort spanning 140 acres—she oversees all aspects of operations for the iconic property and its affiliated businesses.

Renowned for her visionary leadership and people‑first philosophy, Taylor is a driving force behind The Breakers’ deeply rooted Culture of Care and Well‑Being. Under her direction, the organization cultivates an empowering workplace for more than 2,400 team members—an environment that fuels exceptional guest satisfaction, enduring financial success, and a deep, sustained commitment to social responsibility. Her commitment to employee growth and fulfillment inspires innovation and creates meaningful pathways for professional advancement across all divisions.

Taylor also chairs The Breakers’ Executive Group, a cross‑functional leadership body focused on optimizing performance, strengthening alignment across departments, and shaping the company’s long‑term strategic direction.

Launching her career at the Waldorf Astoria New York after earning her degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Taylor joined The Breakers in 1996. She progressed steadily through the resort’s rooms division,  becoming hotel manager in 2002 and general manager in 2010. She was promoted to executive vice president & general manager in 2019 and appointed president in 2023. Throughout her professional ascent, Taylor continued her education—earning her MBA with honors from Florida Atlantic University and completing executive studies as a Wharton Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania.

A passionate advocate for talent development and education, Taylor serves as a guest lecturer at institutions including Florida Atlantic University, the University of Central Florida (UCF), Florida State University, and Cornell University. She also lends her expertise through service on the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Resort Committee, where she previously served as a trustee on the association’s foundation board. In addition, she is a member of the advisory board for UCF’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management and is a coach for Cornell University’s Leadership Development Program.

In recognition of her industry leadership and community impact, Taylor received the 2024 Women in Leadership Award – Private Sector from the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Foundation. She has also been named among the region’s most influential executives in the Palm Beach 100 from 2023 through 2025.
