Biography
Tyrene Morgans serves as Associate Director of Supply Chain Management for The Breakers Palm Beach, where she helps lead sourcing, procurement, inventory and contract administration for the 140-acre luxury resort and its team of 2,500 associates. Working collaboratively with departments throughout the organization, she manages demand planning, capital purchasing, inventory and supplier partnerships to ensure quality, availability, and brand alignment of products and services that support every aspect of operations.
Strategic and solutions-oriented, Morgans has played a key role in elevating Supply Chain Management into a critical business function, leveraging predictive analytics to support data-informed decision-making. Guided by The Breakers’ commitment to excellence, she diversifies sourcing channels and cultivates strong supplier partnerships, positioning the independent resort to effectively navigate market fluctuations, shifting demand and industry-wide challenges while maintaining resiliency.
Environmental stewardship and social responsibility are also central to her work. Reflecting The Breakers’ enduring principles, Morgans advances sustainable procurement practices through relationships with values-aligned suppliers and ethical sourcing initiatives that reduce waste, conserve resources and uphold the organization’s exacting standards.
Morgans joined The Breakers in 2011 as Assistant Activities Manager and quickly distinguished herself as an emerging leader. Through the company's extensive cross-training and development opportunities, she gained progressive experience in Activities, Rooms Division and Housekeeping, building a comprehensive understanding of operations while strengthening her expertise in planning, service delivery and process improvement. This broad foundation proved instrumental when she transitioned to Supply Chain Management as Assistant Director in 2021. Promoted to Associate Director in 2024, her career progression exemplifies The Breakers' longstanding commitment to foster talent from within and create pathways for professional growth.
Born in New York and raised in Palm Beach County, Morgans developed an early interest in consumer behavior. She earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and a Doctorate in Business Administration after completing her undergraduate studies at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Prior to joining The Breakers, Morgans built a successful career in the nonprofit sector. At the YMCA of the Palm Beaches, she led family programming and various grant-funded initiatives, directed branding efforts and partnered with the American Red Cross to expand drowning-prevention programs. She later joined the American Red Cross, serving in various senior leadership roles overseeing health and safety operations, human resources and volunteer engagement across a six-county region. Outside of her work at The Breakers, Morgans serves as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University's Rinker School of Business and is a member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches.
