One of the resort's landmark spaces, the historic Mediterranean Courtyard recently completed a comprehensive revitalization that honors its heritage and Italian Renaissance character while elevating its enduring beauty.

Originally conceived to provide natural light and cross-ventilation before the advent of air conditioning, the courtyard has long served as one of the resort's central gathering places. Led by interdisciplinary design firm Hart Howerton, the restoration preserved signature architectural features, including the original fountains, while introducing a striking glass conservatory, elegant pergolas, refreshed landscaping and other thoughtful additions. Together, these elements create a welcoming setting for socializing, relaxation and connection in the heart of the resort.

Complementing the transformation is The Lobby Bar, a sophisticated gathering place overlooking the courtyard that seamlessly transitions from day to evening. Representing a $12 million investment, The Breakers' state-of-the-art racquet complex spans 104,000 square feet and reflects the resort's ongoing commitment to active leisure and recreation.

The facility features 16 open-air courts dedicated to tennis, pickleball and padel, accommodating players of all ages and skill levels.
