Resort Profile: 

A privately-held, luxury oceanfront hotel and one of America’s legendary resort destinations. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the modern-classic resort with its timeless atmosphere reflects the elegant comforts and personalization of a grand, yet comfortable, residence, energized with a family-minded philosophy. Its longstanding ownership (heirs to founder Henry M. Flagler, circa 1896) re-invest a minimum of $30 million a year in capital expenditures, to ensure the resort evolves and embraces the new, while holding true to its roots. The AAA Five Diamond property has earned numerous accolades for its commitment to the quality of life of its more than 2,000 employees, the environment and community service. 


Situated on 140 acres on the island of Palm Beach, Florida. Located six miles from Palm Beach International Airport, 42 miles from Fort Lauderdale International Airport and 72 miles from Miami International Airport.  Both Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike provide easy access to South County Road), which leads to the entrance of The Breakers. 


Due to its close proximity to the Gulfstream, Palm Beach enjoys a sub-tropical climate noted for year-round breezes and moderate temperatures ranging from 75-85 degrees.  


Created in the Italian Renaissance-style, inspired by the magnificent Italian villas of the 1400s. Exterior: Twin Belvedere towers with graceful arches, patterned after Rome’s Villa Medici. Front drive: Lushly landscaped 1,040-foot main drive leads to the Florentine Fountain patterned after one of the fountains at the Boboli Gardens in Florence. Main lobby: Inspired by the Great Hall of the Palazzo Carega (circa 1560) in Genoa.

The Palm Beach Inn, originally constructed in 1896 by Henry Morrison Flagler, was destroyed by fire in 1903.  Rebuilt in 1904 as The Breakers, and again taken by fire in 1925. The Breakers, as it is known today, re-opened its doors December 29, 1926, rebuilt in a record breaking 11½ months at a cost of $7 million.


538 guestrooms, including 68 suites – two Imperial Suites, and four Royal Poinciana Suites.  Rooms feature ocean or resort view and custom furnishings. Rollaway beds and cribs at no additional charge. Tihany, design consultant to Peacock + Lewis Architects. The name HMF, honors The Breakers’ legendary founder, Henry Morrison Flagler.

Features an extensive menu of sensational food, an innovative take on sharing plates representing multiple cuisines; handcrafted cocktails ranging from the vintage to the experimental, and a carefully curated wine list – all designed to surprise and delight the senses. Located just a few blocks from the main hotel in the heart of Palm Beach. Spectacular Asian cuisine showcased in a sleek and stylish setting, explores the distinctive flavors of China, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, and Korea, complemented by an outstanding selection of cocktails, sake, beer and wine.  Features the island’s best sushi bar, a terrace and fire-lit garden for outdoor dining, and the Dragonfly Lounge, a favorite meeting place in the Palm Beach social scene. Flagler Steakhouse 

Located on the second floor of The Breakers’ Golf & Tennis Clubhouse, this fresh and vibrant take on the classic American chophouse welcomes guests with a timeless social club vibe.  Outstanding steak highlights a diverse menu that includes a premier selection of fish, Italian favorites, classic broiler items and savory sides. Indoor and outdoor seating on the terrace, designed for comfortable year-round dining, provides panoramic views of the golf course. Open daily for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. The Circle   

An architectural gem, The Circle boasts a soaring, 30-foot hand-painted ceiling with eight oval Renaissance murals complemented by a backdrop of palm trees and ocean through the arched windows. Seafood Bar 

Reimagined by Adam D. Tihany, design consultant to Peacock + Lewis Architects, in December 2016, the beloved restaurant’s new rendition envelops guests in modern, seaside sophistication, creating the sense of dining aboard a private luxury yacht, while still maintaining its breathtaking panoramic views, famed aquarium bar and focus on the freshest fish and seafood – a relaxed yet refined atmosphere as ideal for drinks as for dining. Open daily for lunch, dinner and cocktails.  Dress: resortwear 

The Italian Restaurant  

Fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors and a warm atmosphere combine to create The Italian Restaurant, the perfect choice for casual, homestyle Italian fare.  Features classic comfort dishes such as brick-oven pizzas and fresh pastas alongside palate- pleasing selections like veal Milanese and snapper “Mediterranean.” While parents and families enjoy downtime dining and relaxing, children can enjoy playtime at the adjacent Family Entertainment Center with an arcade of more than 20 games and specially designed toddler playroom.  Open daily for dinner. The Beach Club 

A stylishly, relaxed setting with an aura of coastal sophistication, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, for informal al fresco or indoor dining and drinks. Amidst contemporary, seaside-hued décor, guests enjoy à la carte and buffet breakfast, and a lunch menu featuring a delicious variety of seasonal soups, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and lighter fare utilizing the freshest, highest quality ingredients available. Ocean House  

Located at the south end of The Beach Club with gorgeous pool and ocean views, this beach house restaurant welcomes guests with laidback luxury and ocean breezes. An inspired daytime menu includes light bites, colorful salads, baguette sandwiches, seafood and refreshing cocktails is served indoors or while relaxing on the covered wrap-around porch. Open daily until dusk. Exclusively for hotel guests and club members. Dress: relaxed attire; bathing suit cover-ups and sandals or shoes requested  

The Surf Break  

Gazebo-style, tropical beachfront bar just steps from the shore, located between the resort’s two southernmost pools. An open-air oasis where guests relax with refreshing cocktails and light bites amidst tranquil breezes, breathtaking ocean views, and a favorite broadcast on four flat-screen TVs. The Breakers Ocean Course 

Florida’s oldest 18-hole course located on-site at The Breakers; a 6,167-yard, par 70 course redesigned by Brian Silva.  Beautifully landscaped with manicured greens, a constant test for all skill levels.

The Breakers Rees Jones® Course  

Located 10 miles from the resort, set against the backdrop of the picturesque Breakers West residential community. Originally built in 1968, the course was reconstructed in 2004 by renowned golf course architect, Rees Jones, and named “Renovation of the Year,” by Golf Inc. Lushly landscaped and challenging course reflects the signature Style of eminent course architect Rees Jones.

John Webster Golf Academy at The Breakers 

Nationally recognized golf professionals offer instruction in private lessons and golf school format, ideal for all skill levels; lessons also specialized for children and for parents with kids. Custom club fitting available. 


The tennis facility offers guests 10 beautifully groomed Har-Tru courts, a comprehensive pro shop with the latest fashions and equipment, professional instruction, clinics with USPTA/USPTR-certified professional instructors and private court time. Lighted courts available for evening play.

The Spa at The Breakers 

This indoor/outdoor spa features a contemporary, Italian-inspired design that embraces guests with a fresh, soothing atmosphere and engages all the senses. Amenities include 17 treatment rooms; a private courtyard; lounges for men, women and co-ed use; as well as a salon area for hair and nail services. A carefully curated menu of spa services, tended to by expertly-trained professionals, features the finest, hand-crafted skin and body care products from OSEA, Tammy Fender, Guerlain and more. 


Ocean Fitness: A spectacular 6,000 square foot, indoor/outdoor fitness experience. Located above the resort’s Beach Club complex, this exclusive amenity provides an array of resources to help individuals reach their personal fitness goals in an inspiring setting with breathtaking ocean views. A network of customized fitness solutions including the most advanced equipment available on the market, and the expertise of a highly-trained staff, including personal trainers, are available to guests, in addition to a schedule of complimentary classes led by certified fitness instructors seven days a week.    

Ocean Fitness encompasses 4,300 square feet of air-conditioned interior space, a 1,700-square-foot oceanfront terrace for outdoor workouts, including indoor cycling and yoga classes, and 10-foot-tall windows showcasing magnificent ocean vistas.    

Beach Club 

Mediterranean-style Beach Club with magnificent vistas of the ocean and reminiscent of a panoramic island escape. Four pools, five whirlpool spas, expansive pool decks, lush tropical landscaping and lawn space; 25 private, luxury poolside bungalows for daytime rental, complete with a personal concierge; and Ocean House, The Beach Club Restaurant and The Surf Break for drinks and dining.

Flagler System, Inc. (FSI) is a privately owned company under the same family ownership since 1896.  FSI is the parent company of The Breakers Palm Beach, Inc., which specializes in hotel, private club, oceanfront apartment rentals and residential property management; and Flagler System Management, Inc., which specializes in dining and luxury retail operations.
